Diana Krall Quiet Nights World Tour 2010

The Frontier Touring Company and Roundhouse Entertainment present Grammy award-winning pianist and singer Diana Krall's 12-date tour of New Zealand and Australia.
The bill featured an impressive lineup of talented female artists, with Melody Gardot opening the evening, followed by Madeleine Peyroux. Diana and her quartet then closed the show. For many of the larger concerts, the artists were supported by a 42-piece local orchestra, enabling Southern Hemisphere audiences to hear the selections from 'Quiet Nights' as they were recorded, with the arrangements that earned Claus Ogerman a Grammy(r) Award.
'Quiet Nights,' a gold selling album in Australia, re-entered the Australian pop albums charts while Krall was on tour peaking at #14, a new high mark for the album. 'Quiet Nights' also reached #1 on the Jazz Albums chart and maintained a spot in the top 5 for several weeks.
The performances Down Under were so well received that Universal Music and the three artists decided to team up to capture the March 3 concert at Brisbane Entertainment Centre for a forthcoming DVD.
Of the sold-out Brisbane show, The Courier-Mail said: "Her Cool, stylish performance on the keys appears almost effortless. With a seductive and breathy contralto voice, she offers up sublime phrasing of lyrics." Adding that the orchestra offered a "lush element" to the performance.
