Dame Kiri Te Kanawa

“Combine the voice with a deep musical intelligence ... add an adventurous choice of repertoire and a generous stage presence and you end up with a recital that nears perfection.” Sydney Morning Herald, April 2012

Dame Kiri is regarded as one of the world's foremost operatic singers, applauded by audiences of every generation. Accompanied by her pianist Terence Dennis she'll perform a rich programme of personal favourites from Mozart, Handel, Liszt, Puccini, Guastavino, Gershwin and Ginastera.

Created a Dame Commander of the British Empire in 1982 Dame Kiri’s career spans 40 years in the major operatic houses and concert halls in the United Kingdom, North America and Europe and, according to a recent review, “her voice is as remarkable as ever”.

This intimate evening with a singer of historic status, yet one who hasn’t lost her renowned close rapport with her dedicated international audiences, will enchant not only those familiar with her music but anyone moved by song.
