Gurrumul

After sold out performances with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in 2013, Gurrumul returns for two encore performances at the Sydney Opera House this September.

Gurrumul's most popular songs will be included but new works from his orchestral project (due for release next year) will also be performed, some for the first time ever.  A female chorus complementing his high tenor vocal range will join him on stage for some new works, and much of his performance will be accompanied by rich video of his life, dances and family from remote Elcho Island in the Northern Territory.

Hailed by The Guardian as "magnificent", the performances will capture the artistic spirit of one of the nation's most extraordinary artists in collaboration with your Orchestra.  Two shows only Friday 5 and Saturday 6 of September, 8pm.

With special guest star Dewayne Everettsmith.
